Work includes final composite shots in network promos, commercials, tv series and a movie called Kiss of Death with Nicolas Cage, as well as shooting, editing and / or directing various special projects ie. broadcast sports (WCT pro surf tour contests, Vans/Hard Rock Cafe Triple Crown of Skatebording events), Surfer Magazine's live Video Awards shows, a Sublime documentary, XXL Big Wave Awards, commercials for Volcom, Swell and Airwalk, a movie for Quiksilver and videos for Duran Duran and Electric Frankenstein. Non-profit clients include Surfrider Foundation, Waterman's Ball, United Way and American Cancer Society. Battaglia is currently freelancing in Los Angeles County and developing independent projects with Shuffle and friends in Venice Recently at the WB TV Network in Burbank, Battaglia used the new SRW-5000 (Sony's latest HD VTR used on Sin City and Star Wars III) with Final Cut Pro to digitize 1400 shots from HDCAM SR stock, and used After Effects to process and help facilitate a 10-bit HDTV (4:4:4) marketing presentation for a very large delivery at Madison Square Garden in NYC. After Effects was used for keying green screens and color correction and the results were amazing. Prior broadcast compositing and graphics experience at the WB has been in NTSC standard definition using Discreet Flame. An online portfolio is also available
here. Don't forget to keep having fun :)
